Ozzy puckers up and gives me a little peck. It's very sweet!

Eskimo kisses, bunting and constant blooming licks. Thats when he actually pays attention to me!!

GriefLeavesItsMark · 03/12/2016 21:42

If I ever bump into grief cat outside he totally blanks me.

HemanOrSheRa · 03/12/2016 21:42

I can see he's getting stuck right in there hollin. Possibly some cat snot on your glasses too?! Smile. Luffly!

hollinhurst84 · 03/12/2016 21:44

Probably. He likes to wipe his entire mouth and nose on me in a sort of sideways smearing motion Confused

HemanOrSheRa · 03/12/2016 21:57

Mmmmmmmm. That is Ollie saying 'Oooooooh. I luuurvve you, I really, really do'!

ememem84 · 03/12/2016 22:12

Yep. Well I think so. She head butts and licks my hand accompanied with very loud purrs.

She's only started doing this in the last week or so. We are on week 12 of being graced with her presence living in our flat. Previously she was in the shelter and before that kicked out and living feral. She has come a long way from day 1 of hissing spitting and meowing.

She came along at the right time. We rescued each other.

DragonNoodleCake · 03/12/2016 22:13

Head bumps, purrs, rubbing his head on my face and resting a paw on my shoulder Grin

bertsdinner · 03/12/2016 22:15

Mine licks me and rubs his head very hard against me. When he comes in, he likes to hold his tail straight up, sort of quiver and shake it, turn his back and mock spray me. Bit alarming as I think he's going to spray me, but he hasnt yet.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 03/12/2016 22:22

idiotcat is a great kisser...big wet boy bogey kisses. He will also do so close but not quite touching kisses...he'll leave a little damp patch of drible too if he has been waiting for a kiss.
Lots of patting and plucking/kneading too

his sister is not a kisser, a Faerie kiss is highly prized and people text others in the family if she deigns to make contact. She will rub round people and rest her paw on them if she is sitting behind anyone on the sofa.
She will pluck and knead anything fleecey and goes off into a dribbly trance, she just doesn't kiss.

Weedsnseeds1 · 03/12/2016 22:30

Interesting that so many cats do The Paw. I've never had one do it before current cat. It's nearly always the mouth, very occasionally the nose or eyelid. Always when I'm aslerp. Do your cat's do The Paw on your face, or is it elsewhere?

Weedsnseeds1 · 03/12/2016 22:30

Asleep, not when I'm drunk!

cozietoesie · 03/12/2016 22:53

He may blank you sometimes, Grief, but he's coming home to you. He doesn't dislike you. (Takes you for granted, maybe, but Hey Ho.) Smile

cozietoesie · 03/12/2016 22:54

....aslerp.... Grin

Hats off to that typo!

Weedsnseeds1 · 03/12/2016 23:28

I am currently slightly aslerp, after 3 glasses of red. Cat is not giving me The Paw, but will probably feel obligated to perform a "death check" on me at about 3am!

RubbishMantra · 03/12/2016 23:32

The first time I met Little M when he was a 5 week old, he put his teeny paws on my shoulders, and looked very deeply into my eyes. I think he was vetting me.

He still does it now, if I'm down or poorly. It's a very sentient, searching look, if that makes sense?

Weedsnseeds1 · 03/12/2016 23:38

I think a searching look from littleM would feel like an alien abduction! He's like an incredibly cute little extra-terrestrial! Paws on shoulders from Blob Cat would probably result in a broken collar bone.

hollinhurst84 · 03/12/2016 23:54

I went to view Ollie at CPL and he walked out his pen and went "chirrup" at me and plonked himself down to stare at me. Sold, one supposedly cat flu FIV sneezing snotty cat to the daft human ConfusedGrin

RubbishMantra · 04/12/2016 00:04

He did a Vulcan Mind-meld thing on me, Weeds.

They really do choose their people don't they?

Weedsnseeds1 · 04/12/2016 00:13

I know the feelinghollinghurst I chose mine after being shown various cute, eminently homeable cats and asking if they had any difficult to place ones. I was pointed towards an igloo bed containing a pair of eyes. Selected sight pretty much unseen, I was presented with a bear cub in a cat carrier. He's an absolute joy and the most devoted cat I have ever owned!

Toddlerteaplease · 04/12/2016 15:05

Minevalso sit on the sofa and use my hair as dental floss.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 04/12/2016 18:40

my first cat chose me...

we went to look at kittens and the owner was passing them to me, so I could look at their faces. She passed me another one so I put him down and he got right back on my lap and went to sleep.

Greymalkin · 04/12/2016 19:38

Bert - that tail quiver thing your cat does is apparently the greatest declaration of love a cat will show to a human, you are blessed!

What exactly is 'The Paw'?

My DCat1 is a soppy bugger, I get uber-head bumps from him, lots of drool and chirruping. He love to sit on my chest when I'm lying down and will get as close to my face as possible!

On a less pleasant note, has anyone ever been dryhumped by their feline? My boy was lying on me one day purring like a rocket engine, kneading his paws etc and kind of started a full body quiver, I chucked him off as it was rather odd and lo and behold, he has his junk out! I felt somewhat violated!!!

RubbishMantra · 05/12/2016 01:37

Greymalkin, sadly yes. It started when I began wearing a black and white fleecy onesie about the house. It's worse when they make eye contact, or approach you for a post coital cuddle. Sad

ElizaDontlittle · 05/12/2016 01:43

Lots of Eskimo kisses, head bumps, a blinking. Snuggles up as close to my neck as she can get - regardless of what I'm attempting to do. Wrote some Christmas cards wearing the crazy girl yesterday - my writing is awful!

OlennasWimple · 05/12/2016 02:19

WimpleCat1 doesn't do much except for wrapping himself around your legs, usually when you are wearing a dark colour so that he can leave white fluff all over you.

WimpleCat 2 is very very affectionate with me, and gives me wet nose kisses (yuck!) and lots of head bumps, and will even lick and nibble my feet if they are sticking out from the duvet (double yuck!). And if I don't get his breakfast in time he dabbles my nose with a slightly prickly paw...
