Sat waiting to go to vet....

Sat waiting to take our 19 year old to the vets.

Took her to vets on Wednesday as she had blood in her poo and they found a lump but wasn't sure if it was just poo that hadn't moved along as her muscles are going so she is booked on again on Wednesday for another check to see if it's gone or if it's a tumour. She had an injection and was sent home.

Come down this morning to bright red blood all in the hall, living room and kitchen and her backend covered in it. She's walking and cleaning her self and just got up for some water and had some food but she's walking with her tail slightly lifted like they do when they are going to the toilet.

Meeting vet at 8am and hoping that it's nothing sinister, just a blockage. Lost our 18 year old 11 days ago to renal failure and not ready to make that decision again even though I know she's a good age Sad

Any experience anyone with something similar?

It's not stupid at all, it's 19 years of mutual love, bawl away, say goodbye, and come back here for hand holding whenever you want Brew

Oh Autumn you poor poor thing! I am so sorry you are going through this. Flowers

Don't feel stupid! I can't imagine having to go through losing two so close together, one is bad enough! You're doing the right thing for her, as hard as it is for you. I'm so sorry Flowers

Thank you everyone. I love how nice people are when it comes to our feline friends.

A bottle of wine later and we are talking about all the stupid things she did. We will miss her but she had a great 19 years. The remaining 2 are a bit clingy tonight. As one friend put it, they've lost half their pride

Thank you again, you've been great Flowers

Oh poor old girl. Not really any other decision you can make as a kind and loving owner, it's so hard though.

Ah bless her furry little paws. What a grand age , but what a huge hole she will leave in your lives. RIP sweet puss. Take care.

So sorry to hear your sad news OP. I lost my cat suddenly on Wednesday so I know how you're feeling tonight.

Give your other two a big hug tonight Flowers.
