Cats thundering to their food bowls every time someone moves

Do yours do this? I have four cats and two do it. Very irritating. Especially when said food bowls are half full but the cats still stand over them hopefully

Is someone guilty of giving them bits of ham out of the fridge without telling you?

The cats don't. The dog does but only with Dh because Dh is the only one who gives her stuff out the fridge/bits off his plate.

Can you move their bowls?
I put DCats bowl in the hall, so she can eat in peace and not scrounge away from the toddler

No, we are vegetarians! I think they are just greedy cats but in all seriousness it is annoying, especially if I just want a wee in the night and two cats go charging through to the kitchen.

Do you think that the two that are doing it, are needing their diet altered?

They might not, but its just a suggestion & I dont know what they have.

My Dcat has;

3 quarters of a pouch at 7am.
3 quarters of a pouch at 7pm.
About 40grams of high protein biscuits throughout the night.

Pouches contain mostly water, so as far as I know they dont add much to the diet, but without pouches she gets UTIs.

Are the other two pinching their food?

We've got one who does this, not all the time (usually ok for a couple of hours after she's been fed). Combined with the fact that she's a small tortie so she's hard to see in the dark it means she's always getting kicked and trodden on as she seems to always be under people's feet. She also batters at DS's bedroom door in the morning as he is usually first up and on feeding duty.

Everytime I go and make a cup of tea. I get for huge green eyes looking appealingly at me. The teabag pack sounds the same as the dreemies pack. My cats are not food orientated at all and don't care if the bowl is empty. They have never demanded to be fed either.

Ours do the fake wanting to go out thing.

(Mind you, youngest cat hasn't quite worked it out and sits looking at the corner instead which is hilarious)

They also do the "I'm going to scratch the sofa" because it normally means they get chucked out.

One does. Well then he jumps in side and stares at you. Or the table and stares. He also does the fake going out and scratching the sofa thing. The other two follow him as he is the only one that gets mostly wet food (he only has two teeth) and they steal his leftovers.

Ollie legs it to the fridge. Probably because I'm clumsy and have previously dropped a full open pack of shredded ham (delicious apparently) and a cream cake (best thing ever)

My dear old lady has always done it. She also screams and cries for me to feed her in the morning. She will climb off DH's lap downstairs, come upstairs & cry until I get up if it's my turn for a lie in

The two cats who do go running are males

I don't think anyone is stealing their food although fat ginger bastard cat steals other people's!
