"D"H put cat outside, fireworks, cat not come back

Bloody stupid husband put the cat out earlier this evening. There is a firework display on this evening not far away. As well as a few bangs from somewhere over the road. Cat is now staying out, probably scared witless somewhere.

For someone who is supposed to be intelligent, husband does some incredibly stupid things. He said "I didn't think".

Come home cat.

Glad Haircat is back safely!

If it's any consolation to your idiot DH, we once accidentally locked the cat OUT on fireworks night. There is a display on the field a couple of 100 m from our house. We got the litter tray out, made sure the cat was in, locked the cat flap and went out to watch the display. Got back to a cross cat meowing in the front garden. He had obviously sneaked out the front door while we were faffing about with hats, gloves etc and had been out all the time.

Phew. Ours were shut in from about lunchtime over the weekend. They spent all night chasing each other and hissing!Shock
Glad your puss is home safe now.

Shriek · 07/11/2016 12:12

Oh yay! And phew!

What a relief.

I would always lock it to be on safe side as quickly nipping out for pee or whatever whilst quiet and then a ramdom rocket going off is all it takes

cozietoesie · 07/11/2016 12:23

Good. Smile

Is DH penitent?

Shriek · 07/11/2016 15:25

Yeah...is he bovvered?

Haircups · 07/11/2016 18:12

No, he's not bovvered. He's playing it down. He's one of those who hates to be told he's done something stupid. (ego)

My XH chucked my cats out one night, one of them was found 250 miles away 12 weeks later and I had a long drive to get him back! Mind you my ex husband was a dick not just absent minded. Glad your cat is back safe and sound Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/11/2016 18:20

I've got one like that. Apologies come weeks later.

I'm like a dog with a bone though so maybe he just gives in to shut me up.

Haircups · 07/11/2016 18:43

O wow, Ayeok. That's amazing to get your cat back, but 250 miles!!

And Fluffy, its annoying isn't it? We argue, I'm wrong, then a few days later I was actually a bit right. Messes with my head. Should prob take that to the relationships board though!

It was many years ago, both my lovely boys are away now. I was so happy to get him home! He must have got in a van/lorry or something, he was miles up in the Highlands!

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/11/2016 19:00

I always remind myself I'm right.
