We have two and I'm thinking of getting another one - which will be the last Blush

8? Shock

I have one. He's a rescue and the world's grumpiest cat. He loves to sit on your lap, but you're not allowed to touch him or he will bite/scratch. So you gave to sort of sit there awkwardly with your hands by your sides Grin I'd live a kitten (hopefully a slightly friendlier one this time!) But I'm scared my cat would actually eat a kitten Grin

I think the reason I want this one is that she's a red point tortie and I've always wanted one of those. I also think she would fit in nicely with my other two.

I did have 4 for a short time, but sadly my little tabby girl got killed on the road a couple of months ago. She was only just 2. So now I have a 19 year old tortoiseshell, a 10 year old ginger boy, and a young black girl who turned up as a stray a few months ago. I love them all but wouldn't want any more living near a road.

lottieandmia · 29/10/2016 21:46

Oh Sad I'm so sorry - how sad. Mine can't go out because they're ragdolls - they don't have much common sense and wouldn't last 5 minutes!

Always, you've described MCat, my B&W Mog to a tee! Like he's doing you a favour, and "If you dare to move, I shall punish you!" (My hands are always scarred/scabby. He's also very needy though.

Little M, my little pixie cat (Devon Rex) Is a little mischievous angel. I wouldn't (personally) have more than 2, as I know I have enough for insurance, good food etc. Plus, they both get along, sharing the love, and another cat might upset the apple-cart.

Here's one of my favourite photographs of them together, when Little M was still a pre-teen, about 7/8 months.

Four at the moment. Over the years it's varied between 1 and 4, depending on how many waifs and strays we had at any point but right now we have 16 years (original, did have her brother too but he wandered off), 14 years (adopted from my boss at the time aged 10 weeks) and 2 x 18 months (probably siblings, found abandoned in a carrier bag aged about 4 weeks with others that didn't survive - we got them via the Vets that took them in and they've been with us since 5 weeks old).

DramaAlpaca · 29/10/2016 22:17

Two. A 15 year old tabby boy, and a six year old ginger one. I wouldn't have more than two cats at once.

TroysMammy · 29/10/2016 22:31

None at the moment. I'm still not ready nearly 6 months on from Troy passing away.

TheHighPriestessOfTinsel · 29/10/2016 22:37

Just One.
I'd prefer a second, but the current incumbent is very much a one-cat cat. we had to find the other cat we rehomed at the same time somewhere else to live, as they never stopped fighting and weeing. Since separating they're both now extraordinarily happy in their respective homes.

pabstblueribbon · 29/10/2016 22:38

2, but I want a third!

ToujeoQueen · 29/10/2016 22:47

4 here, 2 sets of siblings from CPL.

Microwaste · 29/10/2016 22:52

TroysMammy you will know when the time is right. It took me several years to be ready for another cat when my beloved old girl died.
We now have two and that's just right for us.

isthatcoffee · 29/10/2016 22:54

Our 5 year old cat - tiger died almost 2 weeks ago, heart disease would you believe, no idea. So sudden. He was a lovely wee thing. We shall be looking into getting another one- even two kittens, the house is so empty without him. And that's with 4 humans living here!

Alonglongway · 29/10/2016 23:04

3 cats - all 4 years old. A tortoiseshell girl who lives In a box at the end of the kitchen. Her ginger brother who mostly lives outside, and a lovely black boy cat who's super friendly and has become best friends with our puppy.

Waitingfordolly · 29/10/2016 23:05

Two but DD is pestering me for a third. I waver when shown pics of cute kittens. The two we have don't get on though and I presume a third will make it worse.

Purplehonesty · 29/10/2016 23:07

Two - grumpy cat and little cat

Grumpy cat doesn't like us very much despite pretending to at the rescue centre. She prefers to catch her dinner. She is 3.

Little cat is ace, she likes company! The DC adore her, she is about 9m

ginauk84 · 15/11/2016 15:01

6 - 5 bengals and one moggie. Our house is pretty crazy!

5 now but I had 11 indoors at one point, and approx 40 strong outside/stray/feral crew that lived in and around my garden and yard (in the middle east).

Gratuitious pic Smile

I'm another one with four cats...

I had two girls when I lived alone...a Somali and a Burmese cross. We recently fostered a cat for Cat's Protection and she turned out to be pregnant and we have kept two of her kittens.

Personally I think 3-4 cats is perfect for us. Once the kittens are spayed they will all go out to toilet which I think is what makes it more manageable for us personally.

Here are the kittens...Luke Skywhiskers and Leia Skywhiskers Grin

6

Tinkerbubbletrouble · 17/11/2016 17:26

I have 1, and my mum has 1. They get on ok since I moved back home (saving for a mortgage KMN) But when I move out again I so want to get another kitten! Not sure madam would be happy with that though, as she is 100% a mummys girl. V friendly and affectionate with me, but everyone else she ignores unless there are dreamies involved!

5 Bengals, are you mad? We have one bloody nutty Bengal, one Siamese x British Shorthair and one rescued moggy.

Edhilaria · 17/11/2016 20:27

3 but I want more.

Weedsnseeds1 · 17/11/2016 21:35

Just one. But he is four times the weight of the previous one.
