Is my cat an outdoor cat now?

I have two cats, have had them since they were kittens from CPL.

They are mine and I am responsible for them but ... bonding is hard. They've always been hugely nervy cats and feliway and attempts to win their hearts with dreamies and the like haven't worked.

So roughly speaking we ignore each other Hmm Girl-cat is slightly better and will occasionally sit next to me with high pitched purrs that I like :) But both loved the great outdoors.

Then I moved, two years ago and boy-cat wouldn't go out. Refusal. No. No way. Until this summer when I picked him up and placed him outside.

I have created a monster as now he won't come in at all, not even when he's really hungry Sad I have to pretend to feed him then grab him and smuggle him in and then he miaows to go out again.

Should I just accept he's a feral / outdoor cat or keep trying?

Winter's a-coming. Wait until the bad weather sets in. Wink

Hmm I don't know whether to be pleased or not Grin

I have missed a snuggly cat but I have also enjoyed peace and quiet!

I just wish he'd come in at night.

Do you have a fire with - possibly - a rug in front of it? The attractions of that are mahoosive in the cold months. Smile

Sadly no, although our home is warm, the sofas comfortable, the beds freshly made!

Bastard cats should be grateful! Grin

In my experience, cats don't know what that word means! Grin
