The perfect timing of cats

I've got used to the cats waiting until I'm about to go to bed (whatever time that may be, varies day to day) and then deciding THIS is the right time to galumph around the house like baby elephants while they try to kill each other. I've got used to them choosing to lie half way up the stairs whenever I want the loo - but at no other times (they panic still if I go too close when they aren't expecting it). I don't even think they do this on purpose - though I may be wrong there, they ARE cats.

But I'm sure it was by choice tonight that they waited until after I'd put the rubbish out and got into never-to-be-seen-in-public slobbing clothes with nothing on my feet before both doing the biggest and smelliest poos either of them has ever done . Their litter is changed completely on Sundays (partly because it's rubbish day Tuesday so it goes out Monday night) and they usually like to "claim" the new litter by both peeing and pooing in it within 12 hours, but this time I reckon they must have saved it up especially for after the rubbish had gone out.

I think you're forgetting that you should be running the household to their timetable and not your own.

They're just reminding you.

Oh I try, I try, but unfortunately the local council won't change rubbish collection days to fit the my cats' timetable.

They watched and waited until I was completely settled down then queued up to do their thing one after another - they NEVER go at the same time normally & boycat tries to avoid going when I'm in the room at all, but not last night.

Try flushable litter, perfect for quick disposal of stinking poo.

I used to pick up poos in a doggy poo bag and knot it, then place in the rubbish bag.

Yep dog poo bags are the way to go. Totally solves the problem.

That's what I do, double bag them & put them in the bin. But even 2 knotted bags and there seems to be a faint whiff by the end of the week.

I don't really want to have to lug the poos upstairs to the only toilet in the house!
