My kitten food is out of stock and I'm tempted to go for a cheaper brand

Royal Canin at £12 a pop. I've about four days worth left and Waitrose of course has ran out. Is it worth trying to put her on a cheaper brand?

if you change from one food to another then do it slowly over about a week or there will be shit fountains
