Name changed but help!

We have had two little girl kittens for a month now but still don't have names!

DS calls them Stripey & Blackey but we need cute little names for them! DS is against all my ideas! To be fair it took me nine months to think of DS's name!

Do you want cat names or human names? I tend to do cat names for girls and human names for boys!

I like Edna.. But then I also want a new boy cat so I can call him Pedro..

Missy would be nice for the more dominant one. Maybe Shadow or Jet for the black one?

I'd totally go with Edna and Jemima though.

CattDamon · 18/06/2016 18:36

I love human names for cats. We initially thought they were boys & called them Catt Damon & Morgan Fleaman. But too hard for DS to pronounce & a bit embarrassing at the vets.

The tabby is very affectionate & the black kitten is bonkers!

My last three female cats were called Persephone, Lilith and Mrs Slocombe.
Sharon and Tracy are strong candidates for any future cats.

HemanOrSheRa · 18/06/2016 18:41

Oh lordy! They are cute. And they have a little house Grin! I like Jemima too. How old is DS? How about Star for the black one and Stripe for the tabby? Or just cute and cuter? You'll never call them by their proper names anyway!

SweetieDrops · 18/06/2016 18:43

They look like Ebony and Tabitha to me.

CattDamon · 18/06/2016 18:46

Oooo good suggestions! DS is nearly 4 but is so stubborn yet equally indecisive. So far they've been called Rosie, Dave, Afe, Ace, Milk Socks, Poo and Jujubear (?).

For insurance purposes they are Dashi & Tweak but according to DS that's an abomination.

Liquorice for the black one and Allsorts for the tabby.

Greymalkin · 18/06/2016 18:47

Salem / Hepzibah / Bellatrix for the black one

Tigris / Moth / Cobweb for the tabby

Greymalkin · 18/06/2016 18:47

Or Mayhem and Chaos

FoxesOnSocks · 18/06/2016 18:58

Sable (blackie) and Zelda (stripey).

They are ridiculously cute.

NoMilkNoSugar · 18/06/2016 19:03

We have a black cat who was already named and too old to change. But the next black cat we have is to be called Ninja winja or Lord Darth shadow warrior. Just putting those suggestions out there.

HemanOrSheRa · 18/06/2016 19:03

Dave Grin. DS is 4? How about Poo and Wee Grin

TheTartOfAsgard · 18/06/2016 19:04

Cagney and Lacey

FoxesOnSocks · 18/06/2016 19:04

Or Leila (means dark beauty) and Jumana (means silver pearl)

FoxesOnSocks · 18/06/2016 19:05

Or failing that Gin and Tonic.

HemanOrSheRa · 18/06/2016 19:05

Oh don't worry about the names being called out at the vets. Our newest edition is called Mr Frankie Knuckles.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 18/06/2016 19:07

I have a Gary so you may not want to take me seriously Grin

Tinker is one of my all time favourites. Audrey for the black one. Tabitha for the tabby..

HemanOrSheRa · 18/06/2016 19:08

Betty and Wilma?

orangeyellowgreen · 18/06/2016 19:18

Don't choose paired names, like Sausage and Mash. If one gets left its name sounds silly.
My suggestion: Ethel and Percy.

CattDamon · 18/06/2016 19:36

Ha I am running all these ideas past DS! His favourite had to be poo & wee. He also likes the idea of "fire" and "help" (FFS Fireman Sam). I am NOT shouting that out the back door to bring them in at night, the neighbours will think I'm an attention seeker.

How adorable.
How about Lulu and Tippy?

Becks4Saints · 18/06/2016 19:45

I have a Max, Barrie, Eddie, Wilson and a new kitten arriving Monday that shall be called Eric

Teds77 · 18/06/2016 19:54

Based on girl's names accepted by my 4 year olds (for teddies) - June (Juno?), Mary, Charlotte, Margot, Barbara and Felicity!

BagelGoesWalking · 18/06/2016 20:36

Star Wars/Marvel/Avengers theme - would they appeal to your 4 year old?

Padme
Rey
Leia
Scarlet (Witch)
Black Widow
Storm
Tigra

stumblymonkey · 18/06/2016 20:43

I like old Hollywood names for cats...mine have been Nancy (Sinatra), Mia (Farrow) and Chester.

How about old lady/grandad names...Pearl and Stanley? Iris and Bob?
