.....and automatically licked it off. Yeugh!

Seniorboy seems to like it but I have no idea why. Cats have strange tastes sometimes.

Eugh!! Didn't the smell put you off! My PFC's love lick E lix. But they stink!!

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 22/05/2016 13:15

Ah, it's just runny pate. Which I still wouldn't eat.

cozietoesie · 22/05/2016 13:18

It doesn't sound as if you've actually tasted it, KingJoffrey. Grin

Which I would not recommend doing!

No, but I've tasted pate and it can't be any worse than that..

cozietoesie · 22/05/2016 18:09

Oh believe me - it can. Wink

Eeeewww. Gross.

cozietoesie · 27/05/2016 21:11

Well Seniorboy has just, for the second night in succession, polished his plate of Lick E Lix with salmon.

Considering how old and fussy he is and that he dislikes fish flavours, that is pretty well a demonstration of wild enthusiasm.

The cat is weird.

Wolfiefan · 27/05/2016 21:13

WTF is lick E lix?!?! Confused

cozietoesie · 27/05/2016 21:22

A sort of squidgy beige coloured flavoured cream stuff that comes in tubes and tastes (and smells) foul. My cat seems to love it. He is perverted.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 27/05/2016 21:28

Sorry - that's flat semi-tubes of coloured plastic.

They'd put me off. Not him it seems!

OP posts:
Wolfiefan · 27/05/2016 21:32

Cats are perverted! Known fact!
Grin

BluebellTheDonkey · 27/05/2016 21:32

Hmm I wonder if my elderly cat would like it? She is getting very fussy in her old age, prowls around for food then refuses to eat it unless I am able to read her mind and guess which particular brand and flavour she would like, out of the 5 different ones in my cupboard! Bless her.

hollinhurst84 · 27/05/2016 21:40

Ollie said "no thank you hooman, disgusting"
Stable cat inhaled the lot in about 0.5 seconds and then clawed me for more Hmm

However the webbox treat sticks are adored by both!
Also meowing heads food is going down a treat with Ollie

cozietoesie · 27/05/2016 21:44

I'm going to try him on another couple of flavours over the next couple of nights, Bluebell. I'll report back on how they went down before you shell out.

hollinhurst84 · 27/05/2016 21:44

Bluebell - these are all ones my v fussy cat adores

I just spilled some Lick E Lix on my hand.....
cozietoesie · 27/05/2016 21:44

'meowing heads food'???

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 27/05/2016 21:45

Strewth - it really is Meowing Heads. Grin

OP posts:
BluebellTheDonkey · 27/05/2016 21:48

Thanks cozie I keep thinking I should cook her chicken or something but she'd probably turn her nose up at that too!

BluebellTheDonkey · 27/05/2016 21:49

Thanks hollinhurst think I'll get a couple

cozietoesie · 27/05/2016 21:51

Well Seniorboy might only deign to nibble some roast chicken but he seems to like the beige ooze fine. (It's more of a taste treat than a meal but he's elderly so keeping his interest in food up is no bad thing.)

OP posts:
hollinhurst84 · 27/05/2016 22:01

Cozie - I was what? At the name Grin
However Mr "I will eat half a pouch twice a day and no more" has been scoffing down the whole lot including the fish flavours!

cozietoesie · 27/05/2016 22:04

I thought it was something to do with fish heads. Grin

Seniorboy doesn't like fish though - beige ooze apart - so it's a no go for us.

hollinhurst84 · 27/05/2016 22:09

They do chicken ones, and chicken and turkey too. After I had a tin of tuna the other day, mr finicky has decided "hooman eats it, cat wants it" Hmm so is now eating fish

PestilentialCat · 27/05/2016 22:36

I gave my friend some very out-of-date Ibuprofen cream as she had sprained her wrist & it was the best we could come up with between us at the time.

I took it round & stayed for coffee. She rubbed it on, & then had to practically beat her cat off with a stick as it rushed across the room & tried desperately to lick off the cream it did smell a bit funny . She had to wash it off!

cozietoesie · 14/06/2016 22:50

I can now report that all the flavours seem to lead to cleaning of plate - which given how old and fussy Seniorboy is, is pretty much a demonstration of wild enthusiasm. I may still have to squeeze the tube very carefully and holding my breath so that I don't smell the stuff but Hey Ho. Smile
