We have an almost 3 year old boy cat. DSis's cat had kittens a couple of months ago and today I brought one home. He's bloody gorgeous! However, DH not happy and hasn't spoken to me since he came home. Will he come round???? I hope so.

My DH told me in no uncertain terms that I wasn't getting a kitten. So because I'm a good wife I listened to him....but got one anyway. He now has no choice but to love him, he's the most affectionate cat ad plasters himself all over you. He'll come round OP, the kitten is a beaut!

If it helps preventing you from getting a divorce, I'll have the kitten?

Ah similar happened to me. My friends gave me a kitten for my birthday(without asking me before you ask-bloody stupid) Dh was reallly cross and sulked for ages. Now he is usually found on Dh's chest of an evening.

I adopted 2 cats from CPL. DH hates cats, and one of my DTs told the lady that! So they rang me to ask about it and I said yes, DH is not fond of cats but he's outvoted.

He still doesn't like cats, he just ignores them. At least they're not like my old cat from years ago (who stayed with my mum as she was old. The cat, not my mum!) she'd jump on DH as soon as he sat down, much to his disgust. Grin

Your kitty is gorgeous and I'm very tempted to get one. Maybe I should rehome DH first. Wink

I'm hoping that i might just get picked by a cat to come live here. i read about it all the time, people ending up with kittens and the like.

Maybe if i throw some tuna in the garden..... Grin
(I wouldnt do that BTW, that'd be trying to steal someone elses cat i think)

That kitten is so sweet! No one could resist for long Wink

DH is not a cat person. When MiffleCat landed in my possession I rang DH who said emphatically "we are not having a fucking cat". As I type, they are both curled up asleep on the bed. DH is now the one who can't sleep unless the cat is in, and buys her £££ food for treats. He still pretends so pointlessly it's almost endearing that he doesn't like her really.

Actually I'll say this here as its litter tray not AIBU there is something very sexy about a man who likes cats.

AnotherEmma I think I love you a little bit!

I've just looked at DH sleeping next to me with MiffleCat:

Tattoos - check
Beard - check
Nice arms and chest - check
Lovely blue eyes - check (albeit closed Wink)
Next to fluffy adorable cat - check

Do you think he will wake up if I take a picture of him? Grin

Had a long text off DH earlier as to why he was pissed off with me. Sent him a reply saying how shit the year has been so far. We've lost a very close member of family and another one is in final stages of dementia. I mentioned that with all we have going on, we needed a little something to remind us all to smile. And he replied back with a smile and "I can't deny your motive".

Sensible me would give you a telling off but LOOK IT'S A KITTEN.

I avoid discussions on individual pet acquisitions. DH and I have agreed on a top number (10 if you must know) and anything within that is my business. Grin

Just realised it might've sounded like DH and kitten were doing the bum-sniff-bonding, just to reassure everyone, DKitten and DCat were doing the bum-sniffing. DH is not a cat bum sniffer, afaik.
