My cats bitten the neighbours cat and they aren't happy

I have 3 boys (all neutered) and one of them has become really fiesty (aggressive isn't the right word) he is 6 and has been attacking one of our other cats but the other cat is a lot bigger than him so they have a play fight then the bigger cat warns him off and he skulks off! So no real concerns as I think that's cats do! Anyway got a text from neighbour -
HELP HELP - your cat has gotten mine and in a bad way! Her husband was home so don't understand the urgent nature of the text. So is there anything I can do? And would there be a reason why he is like this now? I've told the neighbour to chase him out of their garden and throw water at him to discourage him from their garden

I'd get him checked over if it's a sudden change but you can't be forced to pay vets bills.

Mines had no end of fight wounds.

He is my daughters cat and she has left for uni and comes home and then goes again - could this be the problem as they are very close? is it worth trying Fellaway?

Cats fight, she needs to get a water gun as you suggested!

If my cat entered their house & attacked their cat, I'd feel responsible.
If both are free roaming then it's kind of Sod's Law, the cats will have some rows.
You need to find out what happened.

The 'incident' happened in their garden. Their cat has a bite but no stitches are needed so I think she tends to panic about things! I did go round after receiving the text thinking her cat was in a very bad way and she needed immediate help - it was evident that she wanted to tell me it was my cat as her husband was there with the injured cat in a basket on the way to a vet!

You don't sound very sympathetic.

My cat bit her brother and it was awful. Emergency vet, antibiotics, confined to barracks for 48 hours.

Going I did send a text asking how their cat was and did say that I was thinking about getting a Fellaway plug in and possible vet visit to see if there is any reason for my cats sudden fiestiness. One of my cats was bitten on his face and the puncture wound went through his salivary gland in his cheek and we paid over £3k for an operation with a specialist vet so I do understand how awful cat bites can be! Sorry if I didn't come across as sympathic

It's part of having an outdoor cat, they fight.
