Off carpet? Come down to another bird massacre - how do you all get rid of the feathers?

Hoover?

Hand pick the bigger bits and then a hoover.

The biggest mess I ever had was actually out on a lawn - and that was a predator bird strike and not a cat. That was a hand pick and then leave the smaller stuff for the wind and the lawnmower.

My hoover is just sending clouds of feathers into the air and the nozzle doesn't seem that effective. Does damping the feathers down work?

I think damping down feathers may help - distant memories of grandmother damping them down when replacing ticking on feather pillows and plucking pheasants!

Is the Hoover actually working properly? It sounds as if the nozzle/tube is jammed with something at least - it shouldn't be blowing them around.

You need a Miele cat and dog vacuum. They have a powerful suck on them.

Your vacuum sounds like it's broken.

I'll check it out - my hoover is a pet one.

It sounds as if it's blowing and not sucking. Aren't there some models that you can actually make do that eg to inflate things? (Perhaps I dreamed that. Grin)

Took hoover apart and eventually found a blockage Blush

Well done for taking it apart! Smile

Thanks - I think it would suck up a whole pigeon now :)
