Just found our dear cat outside - she's gone

I'm in shock.
Poor old cat, she's on the patio outside, her mouth slightly open and her eyes staring and slightly sunken. She's on her side, no sign of injuries.
She's getting on for 15.
She's has been fine, maybe eating less than usual the past week, but quite happy. Sleeping in the dog bed all day and with our dogs at night and cuddling up with them whenever she can.
But she didn't come in last night..not that unusual really. And we have just found her now.
I'm so sad. I wonder what happened.

So sorry. What a shock. As with any death - It's that awful contrast between the living animal and the otherness and stillness of the dead body. Take care. I understand and many of us will . What a shock xx

I am so sorry. That is such an awful shock. But it does sound as though she was a very happy cat and not in any pain in her last few days. Wishing you peace.
