Cat(s) weeing and now pooing in house

How can I stop this? I'm getting to the end of my tether..

I've changed litter several times, I bought a bigger litter tray - maybe I need two for two cats? I scoop it several times a day and change it twice a week..

I bought some bach flower remedy (I feel a bit silly writing that!) after the lady in the shop recommended it over feliway.. Does anyone have any feliway experience?

I am sooo soooooooo sick of it.. I have been relentlessly love bombing them for a few weeks now and this morning discovered that one had pooped in my room and at some point had weed all over a bag of clothes we had put to one side for charity.. absolutely nothing/nowhere is safe..

It's getting to the point where I don't really like them much and I feel awful about that..

Has anyone else had this? What am I doing wrong?

There are a few things you can try, no harm in trying them all at once:

• provide at least two litter trays at each level of the house.
• try a covered litter tray
• keep the cats restricted in a smaller area
• put the litter trays where they like to soil
• try Litter Attract
• clean up accidents really well with an enzyme cleaner like Simple Solution
• try Feliway diffusers
• place the cats in the litter trays frequently and reward with food if they use them

I have two trays for one cat - and he uses both. Some of them are desperately particular about not going in a tray which is soiled let alone one which has been used recently by another cat.

Out of interest also - how do they get on with each other?

Our delightful cat does this, she goes through phases of peeing over piles of clothes and persistently pees in the corner of my home office. We've stopped changing her litter tray the day she does it to try and prevent her from associating peeing in an inappropriate place with us changing her litter tray. We've put puppy training pads in the home office and that seems to have done the trick. I think they release a smell which puts her off doing it again. Hope that helps.

They get along just fine - mostly ignoring but they do seem to stay in the same room and occasionally groom each other which is pretty cute.. they are brother and sister and we got them at the same time..

I really hope I can sort this because I'm not sure I can take much more!
