Do you still have a litter tray if your cat goes outside?

My 6 month old kitten hasn't used her litter tray for weeks. Since she could use the cat flap.

I've not refilled the litter tray since I last emptied and cleaned it (weather has been fairly mild). I suppose I don't want her starting to use it regularly again, although of course if the weather was awful I'd understand!

Just wondered what you all do?

Yes but he only uses it in emergencys for poo. Pretty sure He wees in the bath and the utility room sink.

Yes for the following reasons:-

  1. You can monitor stools to make sure there is no illness.
  2. To try and minimise the cat poo in the garden/neighbours garden.
  3. Just in case they get caught short in the middle of the night.
  4. If the weather is bad.

Yes... 3 cats but we have gone down to one (extra large) litter tray now as they mostly go outside to 'go' in the day, but I try to keep them in at night and they don't seem to mind sharing at all (I scoop every day and change whole litter every other day)

It also means I can keep an eye on poo health as my old girl tends to be constipated at times, and youngest one, loose! And of course the neighbours prefer Obie to do his giant sized MC poos at home Grin
