Had to buy Felix... the cats' farts are noxious!

I'm waiting on my zooplus order ..they usually have Almo legend with the odd bit of Animonda Carny (and Royal Canin gastro from the vets for Ophie as she often refuses wet food )

DH popped out and got some Felix 'good as it gets' or whatever it is called.. all three cats LOVED it even though it looked like sloppy pate to me.

But tonight OMG... the foul foul wind all three are emitting... chemical warfare! Not to mention the extra vile poos in the litter trays.

What the hell is IN that stuff to make them smell so bad?! And would be really cruel of me to cork all their furry asses til their usual food arrives?

Lesson learned.. don't ever run out again!

That's all they'll eat from now on though. Forever.

It's what Seniorboy will eat, I'm afraid. He's allowed whatever he wants - and what he wants is Felix AGAIL Doubly Delicious meat selection. If he was a young cat, I'd hang tough but he has to have his meds to schedule so ........

Like you though, I do wonder what's in the stuff.

My two have a pouch each of it every day and I have never experienced any farting from them at all. Their poos are sometimes whiffy but not always.

To be fair, Seniorboy's Felix-inspired poos are pretty normal and he doesn't fart. I'm just always edgy when a cat prefers something quite so markedly.

Archcat could have got a place on the national cat farting team with the smells he produced while on Felix. I'm pretty sure it was the high cereal content. Once he went grain free it stopped altogether and his poo was actually solid.

Ah Arch..that's probably it (and yes..just looked , it's the 'Doubly delicious' stuff). Ophie can't tolerate grains... so no surprise she is farting for england!
Obie, being a 20 pound MC has had at least 4 sachets today... thank god he has gone outside tonight as I really can't face him sleeping in my room with the smell he is emitting

Ooh I've been there with my cats... Any deviation from the zooplus diet (animonda carney and Grau mostly) leads to evil farts and poops.

I think it's the grains used in Felix/Wiskas/supermarket food that are responsible for the stink. Cats don't need carbs!

Mine are probably getting away with it because they only have half a pouch each morning and evening, the rest of their food is no-cereal dry food. To be honest I would just assume it was DH anyway .

We gave H Felix a few weeks after he moved in - the litter tray was foul! He loved it but was very quickly taken off of it!

I keep hearing that Felix is full of cereal but where is it? It only has 0.5% fibre. I'm sure the only evil ingredient is the sugar! m

Some cats are just farters but I think a change of diet, however temporary, will affect most. Mine have Felix & are generally odour free
