I want to let my kitten out, but not until she is spayed and all vacs are up to date.

The vet said he doesn't recommen it till 6 months.

How are you finding the lead and harness Mini? I'm on my 5th feline but only my 2nd kitten. The others have been other peoples older cast offs. Our latest edition is coming up to 5 months. We got him at about 13 weeks, he had been ill treated IMO so was very frightened (long story).

I'm working myself up to getting him neutered and he is showing some interest in the OUTSIDE. I have considered a lead and harness for a bit as he is so teeny and stupid I can't ever imagine letting him out!

It's going much better than I expected. I once tried it on an older cat and was amazed at how heavy and solid a stubborn cat could be, but this one will sit and be good while we do up the two parts. Does get a bit tangled around trees and garden furniture though.

Our vet has said 6 months for neuturing and also wanted to wait to chip him then but has agreed to do it sooner. What is the usual ?

He is only 8 weeks and was bounding at the patio doors today so think he will be raring to go outside if his mummy lets him. He is soo tiny still

I had a boy kitten (sadly died of liver failure at 3) but he had an accident at 4 months and the vet on his exam said he was "very ready" that kitten was a delightful monster :) I'm taking my little one in next week at just over 5 months - she's also desperate to get out! But think that's because she tries to follow her very obsessed with the garden bigger brother (indoor cats with supervised visits to my garden)

I'm glad this thread is here - our lovely ragdoll is now 6 months old but she doesn't seem to have gone into season yet. Apparently the cat is more relaxed if spayed? I wasn't sure what the guidelines are.

Here's our lovely girl
