Bus stop kitten

Honestly? It could only happen to me.

Yesterday, pouring down rain. On my way home from work standing at the bus stop.

Some fella runs to the shelter with a small cardboard box. I looked down.

A Kitten!!!! Soaking wet and petrified.

"why do you have a kitten in a box in the rain?" I ask

"Its my mate's. He just locks it in the bathroom with food and litter tray and doesn't let it out. I couldn't leave it there any longer, so I took it off him. But my wife won't let me keep it." He then says "Do you want it?"

Well with Poppy the Destroyer in my house...no other cats allowed.

He then said he was taking it to RSPCA...so I know they pts, so I took the kitten home. On the bus. In the box.

Luckily, I have contact with a wonderful lady (due to a previous stray) who works alongside a charity (I suspect CHAT) and has links to my vets. I called her, and she told me to take her to the vets where she would collect her and rehome her.

Just awaiting an update. She may have found her a home with a lady who just lost her cat. Kitten now flead and wormed, microchip, jabs and neuter on Friday

Ahh I think it was fate. Lovely kitten and well done for saving the day, and the kitten. Feel a bit sorry for the man whose wife said no. But at least the kitten is out if the bathroom Flowers for you, and a cup of Brew cat milk for the kitten x

Notmeagain I must say that when I took her to the vet and walked out with the empty cat carrier...I nearly turned around to go back in. But it would have been fruitless...my cat just would not accept her.

But I know my rescue lady will find her a new home. She is a dedicated rescuer who works tirelessly going out all hours if a call comes through.

I didn't name her. I thought it best her new human does that Smile

I am going to call the lady tomorrow to see how kitten is after her neuter and will report back

I keep thinking about her loads

Called the lady.

Kitten is doing well and has settled in. She was neutered and chipped yesterday and today the lady is going to see a potential new human slave.

Will report back
