BogBastardkitten has just had us to and from the vets for a few days, leading to discussion of his jabs.
He is now five months and came to us having had two doses of Versifel. Breeder advised that if he was to go outside he should also have feline leukaemia at 6 months alongside neutering. Vet was a bit puzzled by this as said they usually give Feline leukaemia as part of the combined jab. So poor BBK, in addition to all the other undignified stuff that was going on, got a repeat dose of a combined vaccine.
Am happy that a repeat dose of combined vaccine won't hurt him (I know it doesn't bother humans!), but is it right that it's more usual to give feline leukaemia vaccine as part of the combined jab?
