Anyone deal with Celia Hammond rescue

I have sent several emails to the Canning Town branch I think and had no reply.

Can't call easily as kids around and are trying to do the initial work without them being aware. Do they take ages to reply? I am using their website contact email link.

I appreciate they are super busy. I'm not complaining!

They took ages to get back to me because they were waiting for a suitable cat before they got in touch. So hang in there!

Keep an eye on this thread, Too. A regular poster here volunteers for CHAT big time so just may be able to help with/cast some light on any delay.

Have you looked at catchat.org I found a lovely tiny rescue centre there and rehomed a gorgeous cat from them. I think celia Hammond list their cats there as well.

thecatneuterer works at CH I believe. Maybe drop her a pm?

Toounhappynow · 20/08/2015 12:39

Thanks everyone. Will do!

I've had the pm and replied. I'm looking into it. Basically we are terribly, terribly stretched and not everything as done as quickly as it should be, particularly when Neil, our main home visitor and rehomer, is on holiday.

cozietoesie · 20/08/2015 14:07

So if anyone had some spare time/room for a cat in the London area, they might find a welcome, TCN?

thecatneuterer · 20/08/2015 14:11

We are desperate for homes and for fosterers Cozie. Unfortunately we are also desperate for staff to deal with the rehoming/admin/everything else, which is why not everything is done as quickly as it could be.

And of course I've still got the four kittens in my spare room that I would love to find homes for!

cozietoesie · 20/08/2015 15:46

Come on - fess up. How many does that make in total then? Wink

Is there a link on the CHAT website for prospective volunteers or fosterers? How would they go about it?

thecatneuterer · 21/08/2015 12:00

Cozie I'm not sure how many that makes. I'm losing count. Although I also have one less as my darling Wellington is missing, presumed dead (long story but that really is the only explanation).

Thank you for asking - this is the page for fostering/volunteering: www.celiahammond.org/index.php/2015-02-05-15-54-51/volunteering
