At what age does a cat need adult food rather than kitten food?

Just looking at Applaws dried food and there is a kitten variety, but it doesn't say what age this is suitable for. Our cats are 7 months old and the rescue centre said they were no longer on kitten food, so should I go for adult varieties?

It didn't kill him. I wonder if the kibbles smaller for tiny teeth?.

I switched him over at a year. From kitten Applaws to the adult one. Both cereal/grain free.

You're right, the kibble's smaller, but also higher calorie/nutrients.

I went at 6 months after they'd been neutered. Boy cats tend to gain weight quickly after castration so it was recommended by the vet to switch them over to adult cat food then.

About eight months I think.
