How to stop neighbours cat pooing on my lawn

Hi, my neighbours ginger cat keeps pooing on my front lawn. I'm 39 weeks pregnant and live alone and I can't clear it up at the moment due to the risk of toxoplasmosis.

Can anyone recommend how I can stop this cat from doing this?

Many thanks, Sarah

Ask them to clear it up if you get on Ok with them. Otherwise get a pal to do it in return for something nice. There are products you can get from B & q etc to keep cats off your lawn.

You can clear it up. Just use a shovel or poop scoop; or wear gloves, pick up using poop bag inside out, throw away and wash hands.

A powerful water pistol may discourage future deposits ...

Hi,

keep the grass short and use a spray called Catapult. If a cat does poo before you get the spray on wash it away with a watering can full of water and a mild detergent, then spray.

It's working on my front garden, the only issue I have now is the pair of idiots next door who scoop the poo off their gravel and throw it on to my garden....

Thank you all for your advice. Abitwrong, I can't believe your neighbours throw poo onto your garden, that's a disgrace. Could you film them doing it and report them to environmental health?

A water spray with a motion sensor is supposed to work well

The one linked is only 23 quid, there are a number of different brands.

There are other people who swear by orange/lemon rind scattered around your garden, because cats hate citrus smells. No idea if that works though.

Perhaps you should post some poo through their letterbox abitwrong. Grin
