My sister has left her year old (ish) cat with us whilst on holiday for a week.
On sunday after being settled in she took herself off under the chair (right inside the mechanics of it ) and didn't come out until late Monday - hadn't eaten or drank.
Yesterday she came out and ate a small amount and used litter tray- had a fuss but doesn't like being picked up, just wants a fuss on her terms.
Today she decided to go up into dds bedroom cue panic from me not being able to find her- she was right behind the top of bed. On finding her she hissed at me, but came up for a fuss and i brought her back down as she hadn't eaten.
She has now hissed at DH Ds & Dd. Is it just a case of her being frightened?
I'm concerned she isn't eating or drinking enough, barely touching water if at all. She is a tiny framed little thing. i purchased some cat milk in the hope she might drink something. She isn't at all like our cat that died last January who loved attention etc.
Could anyone advise on the way forward? We have her until Monday night.
