Help-cattery or pet sitter?

I can't decide at all. We are going away next week, the cat is 10 months old and hasn't been left yet. She has only been going outside for a couple of weeks but LOVES it. We don't have a cat flap-yet.

So-we could get a cat flap fitted on Friday supposedly. Then if we could get her used to using it I assume she would feel left stressed if left at home with someone popping in to top up food? Or is a cattery better as someone can keep an eye on her full time (but she won't have much space/outside to wander around in)??

Just contact catteries and sitters OP, then you can make an informed decision.

Worth visiting catteries too - I found the websites for some were way out of date & they weren't nearly as nice as they looked. Also you can get s feel for how catty they are Wink

(Catteries attached to dog kennels tend to be less catty than the other kind)

Not having much luck finding a space at a cattery, hope there is a sitter free somewhere!

Update-I couldn't find a space in any of the recommended catteries in the end so blindly put our faith in a cat sitter coming once a day to check on her. Oh and we didn't get the cat flap so the cat stayed inside the whole time.
Cat sitter seemed great and sent us daily videos which were very reassuring! Very pleased and would probably do the same again.
