OMG! My cat is doing a weird thing!

Old boy cat, 17 years old.

Has taken a fondness to a new blanket DD has. But now he's doing something on it. I'm not sure if he's trying to hump it, or spray on it. (I don't think he can spray if he's neutered, can he?)

A new cat moved into the neighbourhood recently and sprayed in my kitchen yesteryear Angry so not sure if that has something to do with it.

What is my cat doing? It's disturbing and ....wrong.

I'm crying at this, sorry...

our female cat used to do the whole kneading thing but it was always in our armpit, accompanied by much dribbling and licking.

She used to just fall asleep blissfully. I don't think it was, erm, otherwise motivated.

My parents then had a revolting cat who used to hump across the rug dragging her arse along. It was bizarre; they said it was because she had come from an unhappy home and had had worms.

Poor cat. She was horrible though and never very friendly.

Reading this thread I'm glad I never had a male cat for very long. Hamsters were bad enough with their enormous bollocks.

We used to have a nice sheepskin rug but we had to get rid of it because our cat spent all his time trying to get into the room to make vigorous love to it.

He makes do with fleece throws or jumpers now. It is embarrassing for both of us if I enter a room and find him rug in mouth, hips grinding.

.....rug in mouth, hips grinding.....

Yes - I think that that would have to be regarded as ......otherwise motivated.

(Just keep them out of the room if Great Aunt Wilhelmina arrives and she's of tender sensibilities. (She might not be. Grin))

God, that reminds me. MCat kicked off and bit me. He's a bitey bastard. I gave him a "time out" in the spare room. When the 20 minutes were up, I opened the door to let him out. He had DHs discarded trousers clamped in his mouth and was making angry, intense love to them. Punishing the trousers.

I had a much missed massive tabby neutered boy, he was very affectionate to humans and cats. I then acquired my current female who loved nothing more than a nice warm snuggle on the bed with human or cat. I found him humping her loads of times, she would allow him do it for a few minutes til he tried grabbing her by the scruff, then she'd leave. I think she liked it until she realised he meant sexytime rather than cuddle time.

OMG I've just though - cat porn, they are doing live porn shows.

I wonder how people answer the 'Mummy - what is he doing ?' question. Great Aunt Wilhelmina can always avert her eyes if she's so inclined but an inquisitive 7 year old is a different matter. Grin

Reminds me of a joke I once heard. Something about a child seeing 2 dogs at it.

He enquires "Can dogs go flat?"

"No son," she replies. "Why's that dog pumping up the other dog then?" he asks.
