Cat had CHF, we are going on holiday in summer - advice please!

Hope anyone can give me some views on this. Our cat is only 1, and recently had heart failure, the cause being acute HCM that he was most probably born with.
That was just over a month ago, and he was very poorly (they didn't think he would make it). He was discharged on medication twice a day (am and pm) and for now he is an indoor cat. Prognosis is very poor - he probably won't survive the year as there is no cure and his is quite a severe case. Currently he is taking his meds well (in his food) and is seeming quite sprightly, but 2 weeks ago he had a slight relapse and was back in hospital overnight on a drip to take fluid away from his lungs ad they upped the meds a bit.
The problem is, we had planned a holiday this summer and I am not quite sure what to do while we are away. Family can't really have him at their house because they both have beloved pet dogs. They might be able to pop in a few times a day to see him. There is the risk that he might start having another relapse while we are away so needs watching a bit. Obviously a cattery is an option - would they watch him enough though? Which is the best option? Obviously there is a good chance that in 4-5 months he might have passed away too .

Cattery would be the best option. Good Catteries have people around the cats all day and checking them in the evening.
Ask you vet if they have suggestion I have two Catteries that I know of who are excellent with cats with chronic health problems - my diabetics are more stable there than at home.

Depending on how you feel about them, you can get a pet sitter. Someone who can come to your house and look after them for you. It might be better for him to stay at home as it would be less stressful, and a cattery would of course look after him, but obviously they can't sit in the pen for hours at a time.

Do you have somebody who could stay at your's with him, whilst you're away?

The problem is all of my family have their own beloved pets that are incompatible with him. My DM has a very elderly dog with its own health problems and medicine regime so she won't leave him for too long.
I am beginning to think that although possibly less stressful to stay at home, he would be safer and watched more closely in a cattery than being checked on twice a day by my DM. I will ask the vet at his next check up to see what they think. Not too sure about a professional sitter as I don't know anyone and not sure about having strangers inside the house while we go away?
