Change in cat's pupils

I've just noticed that Seniorboy's left hand pupil has changed in size and shape. (It could have been that way for a couple of days, I just don't know.) His right hand pupil is round and large but the left hand one has shrunk, gone into a sort of diamond shape and somehow 'skewed' to his right - it looks almost as if someone had turned his eyeball round a little except that there's no additional white. His left eye is mostly iris now and not pupil.

He'll likely be in to his vet next week anyway so before she sees it, I'm wondering if anyone has come across this before? Given his age, I'm thinking a neurological issue for which no treatment would be appropriate but I don't want him to be in any discomfort.

Did she have form for kitten abandonment? One of the Persians fellow queens used to trample kittens. After the third loss they spayed her & kept her for showing.

First litter. She actually suffocated their female litter mate - Oneago and his brother were rescued in time. (I think the breeder spayed her afterwards even though it was only the first time.)

Glad your vet wasn't overly worried Cozie and that he's in good form.

I love to hear about Seniorboy

Ah, thanks for the baby photos of Oneago. He's much paler than the little monsieur at that age.

Good wishes to you and Seniorboy.

They were not only chocolate points but they were very young - I think their eyes had just opened - and I seem to recall that the breeder kept them toasty warm. But Yes. A pale pair still.

Hope MTeen continues to do well.
