Furicat is about 9/10 months old first we couldn't get a food she liked finally I did (Felix as good as it looks topped up with Iams biscuits). This week's fuss is I have changed her little from cheap clay based to wood pellets. The litter I have been using stinks despite me cleaning it daily as well as the tray. I poured the pellets into the tray she had a sniff then stomped off.. She has now weed beside the tray in protest! She drives me mental and is very lucky she is cute!!

Did you try mixing a bit in at a time, so it's the old kind with a bit of the new one and working your way up from there?

Change the litter back. There are some things that you have to do gradually - if at all! (I always go with what they'll use - the results of doing otherwise really aren't worth it.)

Ha! 1-0 to me I sprinkled some of the old stuff on it and she's used the tray twice. I refuse to be beaten off a cat again .

Ooh I remember about 8 yrs ago when my girl was a teen dick head. We attempted the wood based and it went down like a sack of shit. It was before the days of the covered cat Loo, she got in, studiously dug the whole lot out onto the bathroom floor and sat in the empty tray yelling like she was being murdered! Didn't try that one again. Foolish cat mother!

Oh my 3 must be stuck in the teen stage!!
All 3 rescues, all 3 had come from a back ground on being starved, neglected etc, all 3 are clingy and slightly weird.
All 3 will love 1 sort of variety of food for a day, then the next turn their naughty little noses up at it.

OP they are all around 15 and I'm afraid your little cat started your training!!

Changing minds on acceptable cat food. Check. Usually the day I have bulk ordered whatever they LUUURVE and have enough in to feed the entire neighbourhood. Ophie likes to scuff over anything that she has decided AT THAT MINUTE she has gone off.

God knows why we have cats... they are little Hitlers!
