With two adorable rescues kitties from Celia Hammond.
They are learning to live in a house, as it isn't something they've done before,(they are 9 months old) but they are bright and clever and funny and loving and just plain marvellous!

What a wonderful pair. Are they litter mates?

Smile
RubbishMantra · 17/03/2015 15:29

Ah, they're beautiful!

Like 2 shiny Panthers!

DidoTheDodo · 17/03/2015 15:31

Yes, they are brother and sister. The girl is slightly bigger and braver and has white paws and tummy, he's black all over.
We love them already! (And feel sure that Didokitty is glad her home isn't going to waste)

Aw they're lovely. They're almost identical to the two I'm currently fostering in my bathroom.

Were they from Lewisham or Canning Town?

May you have many happy years together.

Dreamiesrcatopium · 17/03/2015 17:45

They are beautiful! So shiny and sleek. Sure you will have lots of fun with those two.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/03/2015 18:03

How lovely, and you got black ones too!.

Gorgeous! Congrats on your new babies Grin.

DidoTheDodo · 17/03/2015 19:14

We got black ones because they have been overlooked. They were born under a shed and have been at the rescue center (hastings, catneuterer) from 12 weeks old to now...9 months.
They are adorable and we wanted to give them the chance of a proper home.
Today's excitement....
Stairs!!!
And windows!!!!

I have never understood why people won't have black cats, they are lovely. I linked to this on another thread but I think you should consider a cat tree.

That is a whizzo cat tree! It looks as though it may actually be bigger than my house. Maybe DH and I should live in it and let the kittytwins have our house!

RubbishMantra · 17/03/2015 19:45

Blimey, that's a bit of a cat castle!

I'm imagining a cat on Grand Designs miaowing about the trials and tribulations he went through to build it.

cozietoesie · 17/03/2015 19:48

Have they done 'The Mirror' yet? (I'm guessing they wouldn't have seen one at CH.)

Sparklingbrook · 17/03/2015 19:50

Turrets! Dido a cat needs a cat tree with turrets. Grin

DH has said no to it Sad so I am looking for something a bit smaller for Sparklingcat. What a spoilsport.

RoosterCogburnIsInTheJakes · 17/03/2015 19:56

They are beautiful
I love black cats, actually I just love all cats!

Love the cat tree, although I bought our cats a ridiculously expensive tower and scratching station and the buggers ignored it so I ended up donating it to my local rescue

DidoTheDodo · 17/03/2015 19:56

Ooh no, haven't tried The Mirror yet. Nor the laser light or the wind up mouse.
Do cats patrol those battlements clutching little bows and arrows while princess cat combs her fur alluringly in the tower?

cozietoesie · 17/03/2015 19:57

Get DH to browse here Sparkling. I think the Cat Tunnel Sofa might suit?

DidoTheDodo · 17/03/2015 20:09

Excellent furniture. I love the cat peering out of the CATable!

As a fellow adopter of two young black cats overlooked at a shelter from kittenhood to nearly a year old last summer, much kudos indeed on rescuing your sleek little black panthers! With that hardwood floor can I recommend boinks as good toys to burn off hyper young cat energy? They're great to chase and bat around and pounce on; Hawkins Bazaar sell them too as fidget toys.

sashh · 18/03/2015 07:22

Stairs!!!

I fostered 2, I live in a bungalow but took them to their new home where they looked around unimpressed until they found stairs. Then lots of talking to each other as they ran up and down them.

DidoTheDodo · 19/03/2015 12:14

What the Kittytwins have discovered today..
Television! People and pictures in the box in the corner! Especially the Provident loan ad with the paper dog! Endlessly fascinating!
Ball! We can play football (pawball?). We like it!!

Well done dido, that was quick !! I was delighted to see this post. I hope dh is having fun with them, they are beautiful. I have to wait another couple of weeks yet. All the best x

cozietoesie · 19/03/2015 12:38

Have they found a warm bed yet? Smile

DidoTheDodo · 19/03/2015 12:53

jeans, we went to the rescue centre for a look see, had our home assessment next day and were 'sold' on these two bundles of gorgeousness straight away. I didn't want them not having a home for a moment longer than necessary.

They have several warm beds, none of which are the ones we prepared for them!

Yep. Grin The unexpected is always to be expected with cats.
