the favouritism of fleas..

Hi, we have two turkish van cats, so long ish hair but they keep themselves clean, don't tangle etc.
Never had a problem before but since the summer, dh seems to be under flea attack! They don't bite me or the DSs, and only bite dh from the shins down. We've anti-flea sprayed the cats and everything we can find in the flat but it's not stopping. Any idea what could stop it? Before he cracks completely??

First of all, what flea treatment are you using on the cats, and what spray are you using for the house?

We were using spot on spray for them and the house..

Is that a brand? Isn't it Frontline, Advantage, Bob Martin, Effipro ... whatever? The point is that some work and some don't ... That's why I'm asking.

Basically if you bought the flea treatment and spray 'of the shelf' then you are wasting your money. Only the treatments that are bought from a vet, or sold to you by a pharmacist or specialist in Pets at Home for example (but then again - not off the shelf) work, and some of those work better than others.

Firstly everyone is being bitten, but only your DH is allergic to the bites so tat s why they are only visible on him.
What brand of spot ons and sprays are you using as they are not all the same.

Ah - it's a Bob Martin thing, but having checked out your link I'm going to order Indorex for house, advantage for cats and see how we do with those!
