How to stop my cat weeing on certain bits of furniture

Re-homed a cat approx 7 weeks ago and for 6 weeks there have been no problems. This last week she has wee'd on my daughter chair twice and a beanbag about 3 times. I am pretty meticulous about making sure her trays are clean and she doesn't ever do this while I'm going about the house - it's either over night or while I'm out. I can't lock her out of the room because the door pushes open and she needs access as her food is in a room of the living room. I have read about about them disliking certain smells and that you can buy sprays etc but would this mean she didn't like being in the room full stop because of the smell or would it just stop her from doing this on certain piece of furniture.

I would really rather not have to get rid of these two items if it can be helped. Is there anything I can do?

How many trays does she have?. I'd put another one in the rooms she's spraying in, wash everything in bio powder to get rid of the smell (they can smell better than us).

It's worth getting her checked for a urine infection too.

I have two, I live in a smallish 2 bedroom flat so another would really end up having to be right next to an existing one

try some different cat litter...one of mine only likes the pink expensive gravelly sort, and if that is not provided she will go elsewhere.

The shower tray plug hole i do not mind, hand basin and kitchen sink not so much.

I am using the one she always used in her previous home which I was advised to do to keep the changes to a minimum. She's two and was always very well looked after and as far as I know there were never any issues with this previously. Do you still think changing it is worth a shot?

One of my cats used to wee in a certain corner for a bit, and I vaguely remember my exh going through some rigmarole where he glued bits of dry cat food into a bowl and placed the bowl in said corner, on the basis that cats don't wee where there food is. Am not sure this worked, mind.
My current dh reckons that cats don't like lemon, so rubbing lemon on the area you don't want the cats to wee on would do the trick. I can't vouch for it, but he seems pretty confident.
Me, I'm clearly just some slattern with so little idea of how to stop cats weeing anywhere that I have to marry a string of men to do it for me!

The trouble is that I don't think you will get the lingering smell out of a chair or beanbag so the cat will just go back to the same spot.

Whatever is weed on put vinegar on. It lifts the scent and they wont do it there again

Tinfoil! It was the only thing that stopped my cat from weeing in one spot on the floor.
I think in hindsight it was protest/ disturbance from bring left in a cattery while we were ok holiday.

Big bit of noisy tinfoil over the area. She hated it and wouldn't walk on it.

Everything has been washed to within an inch of it's life. I have rearranged the litter trays and so far so good, no weeing on the bits of furniture for a couple of days. Fingers crossed.
