Here

I know there are some beautiful MN cats on here, You can win your cat to be on the new cat food packaging and also £100 Aldi vouchers.

My beautiful boy died last week but I'm going to enter him and his brother as a pair I think.

I wish them well. Smile

I suspect there are a good few posters on here who might enter also - particularly those who work for or with shelters.

cozietoesie · 21/10/2014 11:09

PS - sorry about your boy. It would be a good memorial for him, I think?

GoodboyBindleFeatherstone · 21/10/2014 11:11

GoodCat is too old to be a model now Sad

He probably wouldn't touch Aldi cat food either Hmm. Fussy little shit .

cozietoesie · 21/10/2014 11:20

Well Seniorboy could be a model and he's most elderly - although I know that he wouldn't have the inclination to do any 'shoots' if they wanted extra pictures in their house style.

I think that if I were a shelter rep, I'd be making a big push on this one because it's a win-win both for them and for Aldi. (Lots of lovely publicity!)

I've never tried Aldi food on Seniorboy though - in fact I seem to recall a poster or two saying that they'd recently changed the specification and not necessarily for the better - so I couldn't put my hand on my heart and say 'Seniorboy likes Aldi cat food'.

DHandhisgrossfoot · 21/10/2014 11:28

That link isn't working for me Sad

BatsCantTwerk · 21/10/2014 11:30

Thanks Cozie, He was a lovely little thing, He was hit by a car but managed to get home, I took him straight to the vets but he died there :(

I'm quite worried about his brother though, he has not been himself at all since.

DHandhisgrossfoot the link takes you to the Aldi FB page.

I got it, DH - it does, though, hang for a tad so maybe try it again and give it a second or three.

cozietoesie · 21/10/2014 11:38

It's been such a short time though, Bats. Is his brother moping or being very close?

thecatneuterer · 21/10/2014 11:44

So sorry about your boy OP.

On the subject of cat models - CHAT are planning to bring out a calendar of 'ugly' cats. I was a touch offended when one of mine was being seen at the clinic last week, and Celia wandered in. She glanced at him and said 'oh - he'd be perfect for our calendar!' Grin

cozietoesie · 21/10/2014 11:51

I think we need a picture to judge that one properly, TCN! Grin

thecatneuterer · 21/10/2014 12:06

I wouldn't call him ugly - he just looks a bit battle-worn from his years living rough in the East End Grin

cozietoesie · 21/10/2014 12:31

I'm sorry, TCN, but I can see what Celia meant! Grin

Battle-worn is about the best I would be able to manage if I were you.

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 21/10/2014 16:07

well, he's got a lot of character tcn Grin

my SIL had an old cat that she took in who would have fit the 'ugly' cat bill. He'd had a tough life and it showed. He was nicknamed 'Skeletor' Grin ..He was a bit of a fright.

cozietoesie · 21/10/2014 16:18

Well he's quite wonderful - in fact I'm half in love with him - but only his Mum would say that he wasn't ........... 'aesthetically challenged'. Grin

RubbishMantra · 21/10/2014 17:58

He looks like one of those retired thug types that worked for the Kray twins...Grin

thecatneuterer · 21/10/2014 19:03

Ha ha Rubbish. That's EXACTLY how I always think of him too Grin. he also behaves like one

Gileswithachainsaw · 21/10/2014 19:10

Arf at battle worn. He looks it Grin very cute.

Good luck with your pictures op and I'm. Sorry about your cat.

Itsfab · 21/10/2014 19:18

I was going to enter my two but it was a facebook log in and I am not joining that nonsense. Wouldn't be fair to the other cats as my two are pretty stunning Grin.

Archfarchnad · 21/10/2014 19:59

wow, tcn, that's a lot of nicks on his ears. Someone's done a lot of fighting over the years.

Would you not consider entering him in the Aldi competition, ya know, under the motto 'food for well 'ard cats'?

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/10/2014 20:13

Poor battle scarred ginger Sad those ears are like lace!

I've entered.

Maybe the can photoshop his nicked ears, nose scar & that scar above his eye.

What posey paws!

(Gorgeous as always of course.)

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/10/2014 21:07

He has his naughty moments too, this is what happens when cats can open doors and bat loo rolls down to play with.

Hmm

RubbishMantra · 21/10/2014 21:26

NOOO! We can't advocate Photoshopping of cats! They could get complexes, that their natural beauty isn't acceptable.

Then again, they're cats, so are supremely secure in their own skins. Smile

BatsCantTwerk · 22/10/2014 14:41

Photoshopping Cats? Shock

He is lovely just as he is TCN

Fluffy His just gorgeous!

cozie His brother is being very close, it is very unlike him. He often used to disappear all day but now he is either glued to my side or sat on the fence looking in the general direction of where his bro would come from. He is also excessive cleaning himself. He actually does not seem as bad today though which is good.

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 22/10/2014 15:07

Give it a few days more. It's a huge change for the poor lad and only a short time since his brother died.
