Cat been acting a bit off last couple hours. Just caught him trying to wee in corner, litter changed this morning. Went to check litter in case of poo, noticed small patch of blood, about 5p size circle.

He had an issue last year which he got antibiotics for, I'd bought double at the time for whatever reason I can't remember. I've given him one, and have another 9 tabs left of the Noroclav. Will speak to vets on Monday - but is it ok that I gave him the pill this evening.

I thought rather than leaving him with nothing it would be better to give something?

I don't know, giving him ABs for as yet undiagnosed symptoms... Was he prescribed those for similar symptoms before then?

Pets At Home have vet practices that are open on Sunday. If it were me, I'd be ringing them for an appointment.

prescribed for exact same symptoms which is the only reason I've given him the tabs

You have started a course of antibiotics and if you stop before the end are more likely to select for resistant bacteria.
However, by starting you have lost any chance of getting a sample for culture.
Second bout of cystitis in a male cat would be making me want to check for crystals.

Just to update - cat was at vets Monday, vet advised to continue course if antibiotics and gave a course of cystaid too. examined cat and said he is very healthy and had an empty bladder so he was on road to recovery Smile he's totally back to normal now
