I have bought a beautiful bit of furniture as a treat to myself...

...I have not yet been allowed to use it.

It's only a pouffe - oatmeal in colour, soft and doubles up as storage, but I was so looking forward to putting my feet up!
No joking, within three minutes of it being in the house, Snowy installed himself on the top as King of the Castle, and Olive was using it as a scratch post. I was foolish to think I'd get a look in, wasn't I??

CatKisser · 03/10/2014 21:31

Great cat bed!

CatKisser · 04/10/2014 09:08

Ha, thanks all. Luckily, the pouffe seems to have lost its novelty this morning so once the house is in an acceptable state, I'm putting my feet up and not moving!

Well looking at the picture, I would be tempted to scratch it and I only have fingers! If Olive decides to use it as her 'official' scratching post, she'll likely leave everything else alone so you'll have made a good purchase in at least that way. Hasn't she grown?

Smile

PS - buy yourself a cheap oatmeal throw for future use. I suspect you may need it.

CatKisser · 04/10/2014 09:19

Oh I have a few oatmeal throws around the places! Luckily I'm a big bargain hunter and every single thing I own is second hand, so I don't mind too much if it gets scratched. The pouffe thingy I think might have been expensive originally but a woman was selling it on FB for £15!
Tis very comfy and perfect "feet up" height!

Yes, Olive has grown. She'll have to be spayed in a few weeks! She's a proper lap cat and ferocious spider maimer! (Many five legged spiders staggering around this house!)

I think scratching posts with a sleeping area PLUS toy storage could catch on.

My fb selling feed is full of toys and clothes Sad.
