New puppy has upset our lovely cat

Our new puppy has properly put the cats nose out of joint. She's been with me for about 10 years now and really is my best friend. She's gone from following me around from room to room and spending every waking hour with me to if I'm lucky seeing her when she slaps my round the chips at 4am for breakfast. I miss her company. We've done everything we can to make her feel 'top cat' and when we see her we make her feel safe and welcome. Any tips on how to make it better for her?

What are your living arrangements, OP? eg does she have a safe high place to go and does she go outside? Via a cat flap if so?

Oh - and what breed and age of puppy is it?

(Sorry for all the questions.)

Yes, plenty of high safe places & working springer

She's out pretty much all the time, via cat flap & open windows. We are on a busy farm so she's used to dogs, only difference is they are not usually inside ...

Confused

If its working does it live out in a kennel?.

Oh, cross post.

If its a sulk you just have to wait it out. Puss needs to man up and realise she is the boss of the dog.
