My cats missing, what helped you find yours

My 13yo cat was last seen on Monday night, been out and asked the neighbours if they have seen him, asked then to check garages etc. I have scoured the hedge rows near us looking for him (just in case) and wandered round the streets calling him.

If your cats gone missing what helped you find them

Well he showed up at 11pm last night when my hubby called the other cat in.

Demanded food and has slept all day, he is pretty skinny, covered in burrs and mud but home and safe.

So relieved, I am not sure if anything helped him get home but I hope he doesn't go wandering again

No not yet

People are contacting me saying they've sighted him, which is great, but when I look into it, it's either a different cat (to be fair, there's quite a few doppelgängers about!) or no cat when I'm around. It gives me false hope & making me despondent

I had several reports of my cat, where I headed straight there, with a tub of dried food to rattle only to meet a cat that wasn't mine but looked similar, it's soul destroying, I felt awful heading home without him.
