Imagine if you had to clean your baby's nether regions with your tongue - and swallow whatever came out. The prospect just could be the best human contraceptive ever!

Urgh, this is very true!
I remember when I first found little Olive. At first she kept getting bits of poo stuck around her backside (sorry) and I was crap at cleaning her up with a warm wet cloth.

Luckily, Snowers, my totally unrelated to her male cat, stepped up to the mark and did all those kind of mum jobs, bathing her by licking her all over, cleaning her bot, etc - he was brilliant! I was v grateful...

Yes but it did genuinely surprise me that a male cat would act in such a maternal way!

But they do evict them as teenagers & mate with blood relatives.

I imagine lots of parents with teens have thought about the first bit. Maybe not the second.
