Boy cat died last Wednesday after prolonged seizures in the middle of the night, from which he didn't recover and had to be pts. Girl cat went in to vet for what we thought would be dental work under anaesthetic on Monday. Turns out she had a tumour of her tongue and as she was barely managing to eat we had to make the decision to have her pts too.I don't know what to do, don't want to be in the house its too quiet, but every time I come back in I expect to be greeted by two furry bundles and they're not there. Don't even know why I'm posting.

So sorry to hear about losing 2 much loved kitties, it's so hard. I can only repeat what others have said, give yourself time to grieve and adjust to the loss, remember the good times and acknowledge that you gave 2 cats a loving home and one day, when you're ready, there will be other gorgeous cats who will love living with you. X

So sorry, brainwashed. It's awful to lose 2 so close together. They sound lovely. Do you have any photos of them that we could see?

Passmethecrisps · 10/07/2014 22:24

They sound completely brilliant. You obviously gave them a wonderful life.

Take your time grieving

Tabby1963 · 11/07/2014 05:28

Wow, brainwashed, they weren't old at 13/14 where they Sad. They sound like wonderful personalities, how hard not to have their presence in your home. I took my two to the cattery yesterday and the house is empty without them I keep looking round for them.

When you're ready there are cats in need of a safe, kind, loving home out there but I know they won't replace Frank and Nancy.

Do you have any photos you can upload for us to see? [hopeful emoticon].

LizLemon · 11/07/2014 08:50

I am so sorry you lost them both. One of our cats is a newly diagnosed diabetic, and it's really a labour of love to undertake that kind of commitment, and I think makes you feel even more close. Very sad for you.

brainwashed · 11/07/2014 10:21

If someone can give me an idiots guide to uploading photos I'll try a bit later on.

I would very much like to see photos of them :)

All you do is click on the browse button below the message box and navigate to the file you want to upload (think it only works on the computer site ie not the mobile version of MN)

Hassled · 11/07/2014 11:45

I'm so sorry - it's bad enough losing one, but losing two so close together must have been awful. And they sound like lovely cats - great names. The Sinatras, yes?

Scarletohello · 11/07/2014 12:58

You can post photos from your phone.

Go to choose file at the bottom of page

Click on choose existing

Then choose a photo from your pics on your phone

brainwashed · 11/07/2014 13:28

OMG they are gorgeous!

Schaufensterpuppe · 11/07/2014 15:05

Ohh how gorgeous- those paws!

This happened to me just over a year ago brainwashed, first my girl and then completely unexpectedly the boy went for a routine check a week later and they found his liver was riddled with cancer Sad Sad and he too was pts. It was like he'd been putting on a brave face until she'd gone.

It looks like they were blissfully happy with you though, so no matter how many years at least you made them good ones Flowers xx

kittensarecute · 11/07/2014 15:08

demolitionduo · 11/07/2014 21:37

Gorgeous cats! So sorry for your loss- truly devastating.

Passmethecrisps · 11/07/2014 21:38

What beautiful kitties!

They look exactly like two siblings I had as a child.

Gorgeous, happy and contented kitties

OddFodd · 13/07/2014 16:53

What beautiful cats. I'm so very sorry for your loss. :(

Will you be getting some more? We got new kittens last September after our last old girl died (I waited until after the summer holidays) and they are just wonderful. I hate living in a house without cats. It doesn't feel right

LadyCelia · 13/07/2014 17:11

Oh what lovely cats, how awful for you - I'm so sorry Sad
