Kitten 7 months, never been out but do you think he could have flees?

RSPCA have fleaed him twice before we took him home, has never been outdoors but I noticed last night some "black dirt" under his chin.

He has scratched abit have check his body today and can not see anything but am wondering. Can he get them even though he has been outdoors?

He sure can - eg flea eggs can be in a cat's coat, drop off and then sit biding their time. Persistent little blighters. (You could even bring them in yourself if you were eg in a house where the resident cat had fleas and picked them up - houses aren't a sealed environment.)

Do you know what the RSPCA used to treat him and when the treatments were done ?

Yes, it's possible. I'd think feline acne is more likely if it is just his chin (blocked hair follicles) which is unsightly but harmless.
Put him on white surface ( bath?) and ruffle his coat to dislodge any dirt, look for flea poo which is comma shaped black specks that turn red if you wet them.

It rather depends what you mean by 'off the shelf'. I always get mine from the vet (because I'm there frequently anyway) but you can buy cheaper online (although with a vet prescription if needed.) Just don't buy Bob Martin or similar from a supermarket because cats have been known to have some very bad reactions to that stuff.

There's no scrimping on flea control, at best it won't work & at worst it poisons the cat.

I'd get the chin looked at by a vet, I'm sure feline acne isn't nice & there's advice they can give you.

I think the material of their feeding bowls makes a difference, I think it's best to stick to ceramic side plates, they fit in the dishwasher easily too.
