This is our Babushka. 9 months old and already perfected the death stare!

Lovely pics of our furry friends. Yes, Cozie, Finn took a little time to settle. The rescue said he had become institutionalised as he had been re homed by an elderly woman but only for a couple of years and then he went back again. He had been in a rescue centre longer than his own home. Can't believe how anyone could leave him.

This was our Toffee. He arrived at our door 3 1/2 yrs ago, insisted on coming in and would not leave. It was a very bad winter with snow and -10 to -17 C temperatures, so he slept in our hall in a baby carseat and stayed inside for 3 solid weeks. Our 17 yo cat had just passed away, so Toffee knew there was a vacancy.

Unfortunately, he became ill and had to be pts last friday. I was considering getting a ginger or a girl. Toffee wouldn't have any of that nonsense. You want a boy tabby and that's me!

All those puddies are so gorgeous. That's some stare Babushka has. I think she controls you with her mental powers!!!

My two girls. Almost 10 months on we still can't touch one of them as she's too scared but we love her anyway.

Lovely girl.

Your cat looks most put out in her second photo sashh, what had you said to her?

Rollypoly100 · 13/03/2014 08:24

I would get another older rescue cat. There are so many needing homes but at the moment it will just be King Finn - don't think he would tolerate another cat. Doesn't stop me browsing Battersea cats though.

I spend more time than is reasonable looking at the local RSPCA website. And now this page. Just want to take all the lovely puss cats home.

The cat pictures are so lovely, they are all so beautiful.

This is Albert, he is approximately three years old. We adopted him from Cats Protection three weeks ago. He was found as a stray last October and he has been possibly badly treated in the past.

He has settled in well here, he was initially ultra clingy but now he was chilled out a little he has discovered his playful side and acts like a kitten.

Settling after a dodgy history and only three weeks is very good progress. Smile

He's a handsome boy - and looks to be a big one?

hedwig2001 · 13/03/2014 19:15

Some great cats here!
Our Meg, came to us after being abandoned, in a box with her kittens.
As you can see, she does a great "stare of disapproval".
(The socks are only laid on her feet, otherwise my son might have lost a hand!)

Thank you Smile He is huge, he even has extra toes on his front paws so he is big feet as well.

He seems happy here, he is affectionate, playful and very cuddly. He loves the cat bed I brought for him and is the first cat I have ever known who ignores cardboard boxes. He has also claimed a spot on the sofa as his own and gets annoyed if the kids put their toys on there.

He was going nuts about going outside when he first got here so we started doing supervised trips out to the garden after two weeks and now he is allowed to come and go as he pleases which he is delighted with. Outside time makes him very happy but he is never out long.

His main activity to to try and see what my neighbours three cats are doing, he is really affectionate with them. Her two adult cats aren't so sure about him rushing up to them and headbutting them but her kitten seems to like him. I have actually got to know my neighbour better as we have taken to sending Facebook pictures to each other of the cats playing together in either one of our gardens.

He was homed on the basis he would be the only cat but he seems to really like cat company, this is the best of both worlds. He has his home to himself and cats to play with when he is out and about.

Lilicat1013 · 13/03/2014 19:28

I love Meg's stare of disapproval.

It is lovely to see so many adopted cats on here who now have a forever home.

cozietoesie · 13/03/2014 20:45

I'd actually have said that that looks like a cat who's royally P'd off - but hedwig knows her best.

Smile
