Litter of 3 kittens are sitting under a large generator at his work. He cant get to them but when it turns on (which hr cant stop happening) it will get very hot. Any ideas how he can entice tjem out? Tuna has been unsuccessful.

omg they are georgous and thank god you were near to cat neuterer she is a star we have a lady at our rescue who goes out and is the resident hissy spitty catcher well done all i hope you get the adults too as would be a shame if this colony gets out of hand the way they do those kits look well young enough to tame

littlesquid · 24/10/2013 22:51

Oh! is it Tim Minchin?

hellyfucker · 24/10/2013 22:51

I have just donated a sack of dry kitten food coming from amazon. It should be with you on Saturday. Smile

thecatneuterer · 24/10/2013 22:53

Thank you so much helly! [kitten]

Why don't we have a kitten emoticon??

hellyfucker · 24/10/2013 22:54

And I am happy to rescue Tim Minchin from under a generator any time he might get stuck. And supply him with dry food.

The kitten pic has made me feel a bit teary. Over 20 years ago I went into my vets with an old cat and came out with two kittens as well. They were in a cage in the waiting room, with a sign saying "We need a home". They had been born in someone's shed, she had taken in the mother and one kitten but the other two needed a home, and home they came with me. They looked just like the two in the box! I am catless now and if I could have a kitten I would be driving up to Canning town. Sadly although I am in a rural village now, the road outside is too dangerous. I hope they find a lovely home.

OneStepCloser · 24/10/2013 23:01

yy the cats are lovely, but whoa is that Tim Minchin Whoaaaaaa Grin

Glad the kitties are ok, well done MrAngry and thecatneuterer

cozietoesie · 24/10/2013 23:03

Ah now helly

How about a special needs cat who needs a loving place in an indoor home?

Smile
catameringue · 24/10/2013 23:11

Preloved is full of old cats needing new forever homes.

Who on earth is Tim Minchin?

And most importantly I'm glad the kittens are safe.

crazynanna · 24/10/2013 23:13

Just looked at the CH Amazon wishlist, and my heart went on the food "to give sick cats a tasty treat"

So i bought it..it's on its way

hellymelly · 24/10/2013 23:15

(name changed for anyfucker support thread, am back to me now!). I have thought about that, and called the RSPCA about having an old cat, but my dds are young enough that they might accidentally let a cat out. We have a disabled toad instead! And we are having a puppy in January. (our dog died 18m ago) The plan is to move to somewhere more removed from the road so that we can get a cat then. So should I contact you when we have a safer place?

hellymelly · 24/10/2013 23:20

To clarify, the rescue person I spoke to said they wouldn't home even an old cat with us, as the road was the most dangerous type for cats, being sporadically busy, and the sort of road that people speed down at night. I saw my next-door neighbours cat get killed on it and that was the end of me thinking about having a cat here. Several others have been run over and killed Sad. We are on the edge of a village so the traffic tends to speed up , or not slow down until past us.

cozietoesie · 24/10/2013 23:25

My Mum lived in almost exactly the same sort of place and had half a dozen cats mown down. When the time is ripe for you, eh?

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 24/10/2013 23:29

I missed a couple of posts and was wondering if there was a ginger kitten who had been named Tim minchin Smile

hellymelly · 24/10/2013 23:33

I hope so. Both DH and I hate being catless . The last one died when I was pregnant with dd, so nine years ago to the day possibly. He was the only one I've ever had run over, even though I lived next to a very busy central London road. It was busy night and day, so the cats never went near it, until that night when either the new cat of a neighbour chased him out of the gate, or a firework going off nearby made him bolt. He was killed outright which was some consolation, but we still miss him.

hellymelly · 24/10/2013 23:34

Our puppy will be Ginger, but a girl. Could we get away with calling her Tim?

Scarletohello · 24/10/2013 23:36

Phew, glad kitties are safe. The suspense ! It's been almost as much drama as all the AF threads going on...

cozietoesie · 24/10/2013 23:36

Er - no.

Grin
TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 24/10/2013 23:37

Helly
Yes, do it Grin

cozietoesie · 24/10/2013 23:39

She'll get a complex, Jayne !

AngryFeet · 24/10/2013 23:40

Ha ha! Loving the fact that you lot thought I was married to Tim Minchin Grin. DH was feeling all big headed at the swooning over him before I pointed out there were no pics of him on my profile Wink.

I was tempted to take the kittens myself tbh but since I have never owned a cat thought it was best to leave it to the pros to figure out if they can be tamed before making hasty decisions.

So you're a candidate for the future? I'm guessing CH will be haunting your email now!

cozietoesie · 25/10/2013 00:20

Sorry. Realized that that makes it sound as if CH will be on your back about the kittens - which they won't, of course. I was just teasing.

Catneuterer I had an email from Amazon that they weren't able to deliver the food yesterday (am assuming no one there, but that seems strange). They will try again on Monday.
