Cats and kids - tell me your stories

I know that cats and kids don't always mix, but from what I gather when attached, cats really do so much love to their human brothers and sisters. Come share your sweet stories...

DD (5yo) can take the laundry basket, tip it in from of cheesyCat and call her name. CheesyCat jumps in and then DD pushes her around for ages (whilst I get to have a lie in).

Firstcat - whom both my (very young) brothers wanted to play with - being nearly pulled apart with one at the front paws and one at the back paws. He yeowled mightily but kept those claws sheathed. (And let's face it, a cat could get out of that situation in an instant if they were really so minded.)

Surprisingly tolerant, Siamese.

My beautiful moggy girl watched over my baby every night while she slept for 8 years.

Both my current cats like to listen to a bedtime story.

An old-fashioned Siamese. They were something else.
