Does anyone have an idea of the cost of a consultation please and the antibiotics I think he will need please? We are insured but the excess if £85 so not expecting to get anything back. We will pay whatever of course but it is always good to be prepared.

Try the Siamese by himself for a night.

Yes I will, thanks. I'll report back tomorrow Wink

Back from the vets with Siamese. He's fine, apart from small bald patch on his head, he came home a few days ago with a small patch of oil on the top of his head and the vet thinks he's been scratching and cleaning it excessively. The skin isn't sore though, so she advised not to do anything about it at present, but to keep an eye on it.

He was as good as gold last night, slept on the bed most of the night. The minute black cat approached him this morning when we came downstairs, however, he hissed at him again Sad

He'll sleep upstairs again tonight.

Lordy - that's a difficult one. I did think he'd be fine with you but that doesn't necessarily bode well for future relations with black cat. I've lived in mixed and non-mixed households these many years and I have to advise you that there are some Siamese that just plain dislike having another cat around.

Might be best if you started your own thread on this. (Sorry for the hijack, OP.)

Feliway didn't work IME, a costly waste of time. Mine get like this occasionally, usually when another cat has been spotted in the garden. I go back to our introduction phase of giving treats together when big cat walks into a room with little cat. It reinforces to BC that seeing LC is a positive thing. Works for them. Glad all kitties are ok after vet trip. Smile
