Just spent most of my morning looking for my cat

She is an indoor cat, so losing her in the first place was odd.

I didn't really take in that she was missing until 5 am today.

My son had left a third floor window open, I knew she MIGHT have gone out, but beyond that was hoping that she'd found a good hiding spot in the flat.

I went to the vets
Asked the pub next door. He said that someone had seen her land and run off.

I then went round every shop and asked for them to look out for her.

Next it was poster printing time. While I was trogging round with these, someone had seen her. Smile

I went in the direction she had been seen and heard a blackbird going mental, followed the noise.

AND THERE SHE WAS Grin Grin Grin Small ginger furry blob trying very hard to fit herself into a hole to get away from this mean crazy bird.

Then I had to trog round town and tell everyone she was found.

So pleased she's back! A few threads about indoor cats being cheeky and getting outside recently, must be the sunny weather!

Firstcat was once faced by a very angry budgerigar that we'd found in the cabbage patch and brought inside prior to returning to its owner. It was puffed up to twice size with the cabbage and squawking like a trooper. Firstcat took one horrified look, ran upstairs and we didn't see him for the rest of the day. (He was hiding.)

Grin

PS - and he was a cat who went outside. Just an abject coward.

Is your cat a ninja cat? A three story leap is impressive.

I once saw a young fox being hassled by crows pecking its tail.

I think she has definitely got some ninja in her.Smile

She has scraped her chin and possibly bruised her leg. I'm going to leave her be and see how she is in the morning.

I'm now hoping that my son has learned something from this, but if not and it happens again (god forbid) he will be helping me look for her.
