What is the difference between a moggie and a domestic short hair?

I thought they were the same thing, but moggie insurance is about £9 and dsh almost £15!!

I always thought that they were the same thing - apart from the vet being polite when filling in their card.

Are you sure you're not confusing things with the British Short Hair which is a distinct breed?

Definitely says domestic short hair. British short hair was listed too and so was non-pedigree shorthair.

Non-pedigree shorthair £10, british short hair £13.

I wonder if the insurance difference relates to the increased likelihood of breeds being stolen over moggies and they are linking short hair to a breed as opposed a mog.

I think the insurance company you're looking at have got all confused over their categories so I'd be tempted to walk on by. Imagine what they'd be like if you had to put in a claim!
