So, an early morning jaunt for HunterCat left me with a lovely intestine/bloodstained carpet.

What have you found works best for entrails?

Wish he'd just catch small birds, at least he eats them whole. And HOW do they disembowel small mammals with no thumbs!?

Isn't cold water the best thing for blood?

A solution of biological washing liquid in warm water. Or a solution of Vanish, or Vanish spray. I think they say to put cold water on it before it has a chance to dry. After that it's warm water and bio stuff. Not that any of my cats have ever brought me any presents, I'm very relieved to say.

Thanks, at least I'm not squeamish but I have enough bodily fluid moments with a 2 and 4 year old so I could easily live without it.

Vanish spray worked pretty well on my carpets yesterday. Cat blood in this case - one very sorry for himself cat wearing a giraffe-print bandage on my bed right now.
