Does anyone else's cat use vomiting as a way to display their displeasure?

She's got the rage because I didn't put fresh food down this morning immediately that I got up, I did when I got back from school run and shopping. I didn't do it first thing because there was food in the bowls from the night before and biscuits available.

So she's just come in, not having bothered to even look at the fresh food, and puked, twice. She does this frequently.

There's nothing wrong with her, she's a very healthy mog (bit fat maybe) so there's no underlying illness making her do this, it's just a vile method of communication she's come up with.

Nope. Seniorboy has been known to vomit of a morning but I've always regarded that as an empty stomach reacting because I didn't do my duty to get him fresh food at the same time as I get my cup of tea. (He doesn't like the dried leavings from the night before and won't usually attempt to eat them even if hungry.)

If he's unhappy with me he'll either be very mouthy or sit with his back turned against me. If really, really unhappy he might attempt a sort of wall spray when peeing in his tray. After making sure that I'm watching!

Ah the beautiful moggy girl used to vomit just for the effect. I did all the tests no medical cause just sheer bloody mindedness - clean white duvet covers would often bring it on.

The attraction of Clean. It's extraordinary. That could also read the attraction of Expensive. (They're rarely sick or poo/pee on the cheap or soiled laundry, the cheap shoes, the cheap carpet - nearly always on the new/freshly laundered/best/gift items.)

It's a real talent that cats have.

Mine vomited up a roundworm when i first got him, it really scared me. No puke since then, thankfully. To show displeasure he tends to meow as loud as possible with a "see what youre reducing me to" baleful kind of look.

Wish i could puke on demand to show displeasure. Queue in natwest..... People in way at the bar.... Parents evenings...

My balinese used to poo on the bed of anyone in the family who had offended him !!!!! Vile but much loved boy :)

love the question so had to barge my doggy opinon in ... my beloved hound vomits to wake me up & feed him if I've overslept. Baby gate across the stairs does at least stop it from being on my bed

Tailess cat poos indoors whenever he's pissed off with me. Under the table means severely annoyed. Behind the TV or hidden away somewhere means he was caught short and is a bit embarrassed about it.
