Cat did a poo last night and a wee just now on bathroom mat

I was greeted at 3am by cat poo on the bath mat, and have just found wee on the mat this afternoon.
She's 9, has a cat flap and no litter tray...we've never had one.

Is it the snow that's making her do this?

I am not looking forward to clearing up anything else tonight...may lock her in the utility room where the catflap is so she can't go anywhere else in the house.

Yes, could well be too cold for her. Mines filled his tray and will wee on the bath mat if he wants to.

L I put her in the utility room last night and she did go out...only downside, at 5 am she was on the bedroom windowsill miawing to be let in

I ignored her, and have just let her in now.

At least there is no poo.
Never had to deal with it before...I only hope it's a one off.

Why don't you try a litter tray for weather like this. Put it by the cat flap.
