What is the rough cost of putting two cats into a cattery for a couple of weeks

We have never done it before and have been quoted £250. This seems like a lot to me. Is it?

In London I think it's about £10 a day for one cat so it could be right. Why don't you investigate getting someone in to feed the cats once or twice a day. They won't charge nearly as much and you won't have to worry and cost of ensuring their vacinations are upto date (usually demanded by catteries).

My parents pay £11 a night for their two and we pay £6 a night for our one (and it's £10 at that cattery for two) - so yes I would say £250 is a lot.

£6 a night here too. £250 seems an awful lot!

That seems a lot.

Would you be able to have someone come and feed them whilst you are away instead? I always think catteries are a bit disturbing for the cats (mind you 2 weeks is a long time so perhaps it is best).

Where Sparkling cat goes 2 cats sharing a pen would be 13 pounds a night.

4 years ago we paid £10 per day for two cats sharing a pen. At that it would work out at £140.

They charged £6 per pen per night with a discount for 2 cats sharing one or 3 cast between two. If they charge even £7 per cat per pen it works out at under £200

Cattery isn't our first choice but we live in the middle of nowhere so it isn't easy to get someone to come to feed them and I'm a bit worried they might think they've been abandoned and wander off.
Might ring around a bit and see whether there us somewhere a bit cheaper
